Healing Ministry Bios
All healing facilitators are volunteers and have had formal training in one or more forms of energy healing. In the Healing Ministry, facilitators use the different modalities they have been trained in. This work is intended to facilitate the movement of energy through the body. Healing facilitators are instruments of that healing energy, they are not doing the healing. Your body's own innate intelligence, together with Spirit, does the healing.
Rev Lyle Schlundt
Reverend Lyle Schlundt, an ordained Religious Science Minister since March of 2008, graduated from the Minnesota Center for Shiatsu Study in 1996. He has been working as a Shiatsu therapist both in private practice and at a community drop in center for people living with HIV since 1997. He became a Reiki Master Teacher in 2004. Rev. Lyle has actively pursued the Body, Mind, and Spirit awareness to transform the lives of himself and others, and to be of service to share that consciousness with all that wish to be a part of this transformative process. Since joining Unity Christ Church in early 2008, Rev. Lyle has been involved with the Healing Ministry, Prayer Chaplain Program, and others within the church community.
Paula Quinlan
Paula Quinlan, Remembering Wholeness Educator, is a certified Reiki II Practitioner, trained in Level I Healing Touch, level I Quantum Touch, Essential Oil Raindrop and Spiritual Raindrop Technique. She is also a certified nutritional darkfield microscopist and aromatherapist. Paula started her healing arts practice in 2004. In 2007, Paula answered a call from God/Spirit to share her Wholeness and Purpose through the Healing Circle Ministry. Prior to starting her healing arts practice, Paula worked in the area of asphalt construction for 30 years in North Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa. She owned an asphalt consulting business for 12 years, consulted with contractors as quality control project manager and the Minnesota Department of Transportation as an instructor for certifying technicians.
Elizabeth Laliberte
Elizabeth has been working with Reiki since 1991 and is now a Usui Reiki Master. She also completed Karuna Reiki Level II as of February 2010. Elizabeth loves how energy works with and through our bodies and she has incorporated therapeutic grade essential oils in her healing practice since 2004. She is schooled in the Raindrop Technique, Emotional Release, EFT and Reiki Drumming for bringing one's vibrational energy to a healthier state. Empowering individuals to muscle test themselves is yet another way Elizabeth is teaching the community to take charge of their life. Being of service to those who show up for their healing is what gives Elizabeth the greatest joy. She has been a member of the Healing Ministry since fall of 2008.
Mary Moldestad
Mary Moldestad became a Reiki Master in June 2006, and desiring additional training, participated in another Reiki Master program in September 2008. Mary is also a Karuna Reiki Level II practitioner since June 2008. (Note: Karuna Reiki evolved out of Usui and Tibetan Reiki and is known as "compassionate action." One must be a Reiki Master for at least one year prior to taking Karuna Reiki training.) Mary is a certified Hatha Yoga Teacher and has been teaching weekly classes for five years. She has participated in several workshops in the areas of Shamanism, Energy Medicine and HeartSight Levels 1 & 2, Embracing Your Soul's Wisdom. It has been Mary's innate desire to be a channel for healing and assisting others on their healing journeys and that path has been found within the Healing Ministry of Unity Christ Church.
Eunice Collette
Eunice is the Music leader for the healing ministry and folk singer/songwriter. Eunice facilitates healing through music. Her leading of spiritual meditative chants and songs, along with guitars, voices, drums and other percussive instruments, helps to create a vibration of healing energy that relaxes the body and calms the mind.
Marilyn Budde
Marilyn Budde began her journey into the healing arts in the early 70's when she attended Silva Mind Control. While there, a palmist said, "You have healing in your hands...and you're writing." Since she was writing a masters' thesis, the gift of healing seemed a probability.
Numerous workshops and trainings later, she would practice on her public school students and faculty and friends. She sees her main role as 'combing through' or facilitating movement where the pain-inducing energy blocks occur. Some of the modalities she has embraced to varying degrees are Touch for Health, Healing Touch, Educational Kinesiology, Quantum Touch, Reiki, Tui Na, Qigong, Barbara Brennan, NLP and EFT.
Marilyn was nationally certified as a biofeedback therapist and did a year-long research project for her MS in counseling using biofeedback with chemically dependent/mentally ill clients. Marilyn taught public school over a span of 44 years K through adult in home economics, science, emotional disturbance and learning disabilities. Healing is Marilyn's most energizing hobby.
Lynn Soley
Lynn Soley has been a Certified Reiki Master since February 2009. She first became certified in 1st and 2nd degree Reiki in 1987. Lynn also became a certified facilitator with the Futures Group in 1994. She facilitated 9 week courses in "Exploring Connections in the Creative Process." This course included guided meditation and visualizations, breathing exercises, focusing techniques, yoga postures and discussion group. Special areas of interest and study over the past 25 years have been dream work, past life regression and intuitive development. Lynn has been self-employed for the past 28 years as a Vocational Rehabilitation counselor.
Barbara "Chrisma" McIntyre
Barbara "Chrisma" McIntyre has independently studied the natural healing arts on and off since 1971 coinciding with the birth of her daughter Luna. She has been professionally working in integrative health and wellness since 2005. She is a Wellness Coach, an I-Act certified Level III Colon Hydrotherapist, Quantum Touch practitioner and employs many other modalities that promote wellness of body/mind/spirit in her practice. Chrisma has been involved with UCC Healing Ministry since its inception in May of 2007 and is one of the Core team that co-created this Ministry. Her mission and purpose in life is: to radiate God's Love and Peace and facilitate healing in all walks of life.
Bill Vogel
In the early 80's Bill Vogel and Marilyn Budde participated in weekly hands on healing sessions with friends, which subsequently met in their home in Mankato following their marriage. Bill's initial interest in healing was sparked when he experienced remote viewing and healing in a class with Paul Scheele at Unity Christ Church. In the early 90's Bill and Marilyn also participated in a monthly healing service at Unity. Bill's interest continues in assisting healing others as he is healed. Bill's formal training included Quantum Touch, Educational Kinesiology, Emotional Freedom Technique and a Raymon Grace weekend. To his amazement, when he works with healing energy he often resembles a "Shaker" or Shaking Quaker, a phenomenon that occurs spontaneously.
Barbara Witte
Reverend Barbara Witte, an ordained Interfaith Minister of Healing, Certified Healing Practitioner, Certified in Quantum Touch Healing, trained in Esoteric Healing, Chelation Healing, Chakra Energy Healing work, American Indian Spirituality and the joy that comes from serving others. Barbara has been a member of Unity Christ Church since 1986. She is currently a member and a volunteer in the Welcome Ministry, the Prayer Ministry and the Healing Ministry. Barbara's mission is to support those in their spiritual, mental and physical healing process and to love them unconditionally as they awaken to their own holiness. She encourages their brilliant bodies to heal themselves allowing the love of Divine Energy to enter their hearts and Higher Consciousness.
Patty Hollenhorst
Patty became an RN in 1956 and was actively involved in the nursing profession for 50 years. She's been interested in health care and preventative health all of her adult life. In 1971 she met her spiritual master from India and became very involved with Yoga. She has traveled to India twice: once in 1973 and again in 1994. Currently she's teaching 4-5 yoga classes a week. She has been involved at UCC since 2004. Patty has been a Prayer Chaplin since 2008 and a member of Healing Ministry since its inception. She also sings with the choir. She is certified in Unlimited Breath Work and Healing Touch. Her mission in life is to teach everyone to breathe diaphragmatically and inspire all to get in touch with one's own divine being.
Linda Levering-Snyder
Linda joined the Healing Ministry at its beginning, two years ago. She has been a student of energy work over the past 15 years. She completed her Masters degree in 2007, which focused on healing and wholeness related to spiritual human development. Her passion for energy work is manifested through her practice of Reiki, Spring Forest Qi Gong, Tai Chi Chih, and intuitive communication and healing with our animal companions. She is a certified Reiki Master and is honored to be engaged with the Healing Ministry at Unity which embraces the Oneness and Wholeness of all Life. Linda has been studying the healing arts for several years being attracted by the relationship between an integrated mind-body-spirit and wholeness and health.
Debby Grote
Debby began her passion in the healing profession as a registered nurse in 1972. She left nursing in 1984 to become a massage therapist. Debby specializes in deep tissue massage and soft tissue release to speed up healing of the body. Debby began adding energy work to her massage therapy in 2002 where the body will be assisted in healing itself with Hands on Healing, Quantum Touch, Prayer and Usui or Karuna Reiki. She loves sharing God's Love and Compassion. Debby has been a part of the Healing Ministry since its beginning in 2007.
